While Running - 2010 Haulin' Aspen Trail Marathon and 1/2 Marathon
I'm not sure what I was thinking but this accidental shot provides a true runner's eye view.
The Haulin' Aspen Trail Marathon in Bend, Oregon is a fun course that follows primarily mountain bike trails. The first half was cuphill and the second was downhill. I ran the 1/2 marathon this year. There is also a shorter race which was seven miles this year. I wish I would have taken more photos.

The entire field almost immediately bottlenecks onto single track at the beginning of the race. I wouldn't mind a little more open road before hitting the singletrack (like the SOB Trail Run at Mount Ashland).
